The Goddess and The Beloved

Friday was the Feast of Mary Magdalene celebration. Such a powerful and auspicious time to be with various priestesses and individuals seeking a deeper connection with the sacred feminine. The poignant moment for me was experiencing the 'Veil of Mary' where the high priestess or facilitator covers your entire head with a special piece of cloth that resembles a scarf. Chants and prayers are whispered in your ear and I felt this overwhelming sense of the Great Mother nurturing and holding me. It's something I have never felt before. Not from my own mother or any individual who represented the mother archetype. In those few shielded moments, the 'Iya' and/or 'Lola' of this beautiful world encompassed me with her amazing presence. I was moved to tears and this epiphany of sorts channeled through: You are my child born into this world of Love. Never fear. I am always with you. You are safe and loved. Remember this. In spite of all that has happened, the trials and tribulations of this lifetime that hold great lessons and rewards...in times of need... Never forget this moment. We are One, child of my Heart. You are not alone...'
